Tenure with Crosland: Since 2001 Professional ExperienceAs Florida's Vice President of Land Development, Dean oversees and manages the planning and implementation of all Crosland development-related activities in Florida, including entitlement processing, financials, scheduling, construction and builder relations. Dean is responsible for assembling and coordinating the project team, establishing the project vision and managing the execution of each Crosland community. Dean is at the forefront of Crosland's sustainability initiatives in Florida leading the effort to secure the Florida Green Building Coalition Green Development designation for Longleaf in New Port Richey. Longleaf has earned further recognition for its sustainable community attributes, receiving the outstanding Florida Yards and Neighborhoods community award from the University of Florida and a Grand Aurora Award from the Southeast Building Conference for best green development. Dean has extensive experience in community development, involved in the development of over 18 communities. Prior to joining Crosland's Florida division, Dean worked with Crosland in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a land development manager. Previously, he was a site development manager with Portrait Homes in Charlotte and project manager with Caldwell Watson Real Estate Group in Houston, Texas.
