Professional Experience
Steve is responsible for strategic planning and operational management of Charlotte area mixed- and multi-use projects. He is also responsible for generating new mixed-use development opportunities which includes site selection, gaining entitlements, overseeing project management and most importantly facilitating collaboration amongst all Crosland divisions. Prior to joining Crosland, Steve was a partner at Crutchfield Capital, a private equity investment firm where he spent the last eight years leading the investment in, and active management of, ownership positions in small to mid-sized operating companies. In this role, Steve served as CEO of two portfolio companies, Insight Imaging and Aviation Mobility. Prior to Crutchfield Capital, he held various operating and leadership positions in the corporate, capital markets and multifamily areas of Security Capital Group (NYSE: SCZB). Steve began his career in commercial real estate lending in central Florida, most recently as a vice president with SouthTrust Bank, now Wachovia Bank.
