Shops at Greenridge Signs Ann Taylor Loft and Three Other Retailers to its Pedestrian-Oriented Village Greenville, S.C., April 11, 2005 – The Shops at
Greenridge, a 600,000-square-foot regional center Crosland is developing at I-85
and Woodruff Road, has signed leases with four more retailers. Ann Taylor Loft,
Great Clips, HandPicked and ULTA have joined Greenridge’s village area, which is
designed to incorporate 103,800 square feet of retail, restaurants and specialty
stores, all connected by wide pedestrian sidewalks, outdoor sitting areas and
distinct architectural features.
Ann Taylor Loft, a division of the Ann Taylor women’s apparel stores, and
Columbia-based HandPicked, a distinct jewelry store offering an artful selection
of sterling silver and high-quality fashion jewelry, are opening their first
Greenville stores at The Shops at Greenridge. ULTA, a cosmetics and fragrance
chain, will be launching its first South Carolina store when Greenridge
celebrates its grand opening this fall.
Described as a “one-stop-shopping beauty destination,” ULTA combines a
full-service salon and retail center under one roof, showcasing a broad
assortment of brand-name cosmetics, fragrances, hair products, as well as
skin-care and beauty accessories. Patrons will have the opportunity to receive
an on-site personalized consultation with one of ULTA’s beauty specialists, and
have access to leading product lines, including Calvin Klein, Elizabeth Arden,
Oil of Olay, Revlon, as well as a distinct ULTA line. Located across from Barnes
& Noble, the layout of the 10,070-square-foot space is designed for ease of
shopping, with products arranged by category at the front of the store, the
salon in the rear, and a contemporary décor featuring sleek lines and
eye-catching colors.
Known as a premier American specialty apparel retailer for the professional
woman, the 7,091-square-foot Ann Taylor Loft will feature quality suits,
separates and dresses. The store will also offer accessories such as shoes,
jewelry and scarves to create a classy, yet relaxed look for both work and home.
Ann Taylor Loft currently operates other South Carolina stores in Charleston,
Columbia and Myrtle Beach.
Founded in Columbia, S.C., in 1986, the 1,286-square-foot HandPicked store will
offer a selection of sterling silver, high-quality fashion jewelry, monogrammed
items, and unique gifts such as scarves, handbags, watches, belts, and pewter
serving dishes. Originating as a home-show business, HandPicked grew its network
through sales in catalogues and its website, www.handpicked.net. The company
entered the retail market 10 years ago, launching its first stores in Columbia
and Charlotte, and recently opened a store in Charleston. The jewelry store will
be located beside Yankee Candle Company and other village retailers near the
Woodruff Road entrance of the development.
Located across from Barnes & Noble, the 1,132-square-foot Great Clips will
provide a high quality cut or perm for families at a moderate price level.
Founded in Minneapolis in 1982, Great Clips has rapidly expanded throughout the
United States and Canada, and has opened over 2,000 salons in 100 markets. The
salon’s experienced stylists are continually trained through the company’s
ongoing, post-graduate instruction at the Great Clips Advanced Learning Centers.
