Five National Retailers Join Providence MarketPlace

Mt. Juliet, TN, Aug. 26, 2005 – Providence MarketPlace, the 103-acre retail component of the 1,000-acre Providence community in Mt.Juliet, has recently signed five national retailers to the area’s fast-growing lifestyle and entertainment center.  Among the new tenants is Dick’s Sporting Goods, making its initial entry into the greater Nashville area.  Additional stores will include T.J. Maxx/HomeGoods, Ross, Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts and PETsMART.

"The addition of these tenants speaks to the quality of the Providence project and their confidence in the expanding Mt.Juliet community," said Charles Thrift, leasing associate with Crosland.  "These stores offer a breadth of shopping options not yet experienced in this area, giving residents added convenience and diversity."

Coming for the first time to the Nashville market, Dick’s Sporting Goods will occupy 45,000 square feet of space between Target and T.J. Maxx.  Dick’s will offer a full-line of sporting goods with a broad range of brand-name equipment, apparel and footwear in a specialty store environment.

Occupying 30,032 square feet, Ross Stores will offer in-season, name-brand and designer apparel, accessories, footwear and home fashions for the entire family at everyday savings of 20 to 60 percent off department and specialty store prices.

The largest off-price retailer in the nation, T.J. Maxx will offer family apparel, giftware, home fashions, women’s footwear and accessories.  Sharing the same 55,856-square-foot building with T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods will offer home fashions with a rapidly changing selection of home décor merchandise including furniture, giftware, rugs, bed and bath accessories, lamps and seasonal merchandise at great values.

The Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts 35,000-square-foot store will offer a wide variety of competitively priced items including apparel and quilting fabrics, home décor, seasonal accents, floral, craft products and notions.  Jo-Ann’s strives to be the customer’s number one creative resource, not only with the latest high-quality products from around the world, but also by providing the ideas, inspiration and advice to help projects succeed.

The nation’s leading retail supplier of pet products and services, PETsMART will be located on the northeast corner of the property and occupy 23,000 square feet of retail space.  PETsMART offers exclusive products and will feature a pet styling salon, obedience education and shelter space for homeless pets.  Additionally, the company will provide high-quality, affordable veterinary care and an accompanying surgery center, complete with a pet pharmacy.
