Poyner Place Adds Variety of New Dining Options

Raleigh, N.C., September 9, 2005 – Poyner Place, Crosland Inc.'s 102-acre multi-use development across from Triangle Town Mall, is adding four restaurant tenants including Just Fresh, Shane’s Rib Shack, Dominick’s Pizzeria and Cold Stone Creamery. These casual eateries, complemented by national retailers such as SuperTarget, Old Navy and Pier 1 Imports, will continue to position Poyner Place as a destination shopping center for North Raleigh residents.

"We are very pleased with the variety of new restaurant offerings moving into Poyner," said Jimmy Penman, a leasing associate with Crosland. "Shoppers will now have a variety of dining and dessert options from which to choose, complementing a full day of activities with family or friends."

All four restaurants will be located around a pond which features a fountain, cascading water wall and wide deck, complete with benches and tables for casual, outdoor seating.

Recently opened, Just Fresh Bakery Café and Market occupies 3,338 square feet of space and offers an array of heart-healthy items including fresh made-to-order salads, sandwiches, soups and more. Catering to today’s health-conscious consumer, Just Fresh provides fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and grains, as well as poultry, seafood and lean meats. In addition, take-home specialties and a variety of beverages and cookies are available. Just Fresh is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Georgia-based Shane’s Rib Shack is a true rib shack concept, comprised of 3,462 square feet and serving lunch and dinner items such as pork-based baby back ribs, hand-chopped pork and rib sandwiches, pork and chicken platters, wings, chicken tenders and more. Shane makes his own barbecue sauce created years ago by his grandfather, Big Dad. Shane’s will serve sides such as baked beans, fresh slaw, potato salad, Brunswick stew and corn on the cob, made from homemade recipes. Additionally, Shane’s will offer a selection of salads including its popular smoked chicken salad and pork salad, as well as a kid’s menu.

Occupying 1,300 square feet of space, Cold Stone Creamery will provide ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbet made fresh daily. Ice cream lovers can customize Cold Stone’s ice cream and yogurt with one or more of an almost unlimited variety of mix-ins, including fresh fruit and nuts, pie fillings, brand-name chocolate and gummy candies, cookie dough, freshly baked brownies and more. Crew members fold the mix-ins and the ice cream together on a frozen granite stone set at 16 degrees, ensuring the dessert is blended evenly and that the ice cream maintains a creamy consistency. The result is an ice cream creation customized for each customer.

Due to the popularity of its initial location in Cary, Dominick’s Pizzeria will open its second North Carolina location in 1,726 square feet of space in Poyner Place. The authentic pizzeria will offer traditional favorites such as pepperoni pizza, calzones, sandwiches and more. Salads, pastas and specialty items will also be available.

"We are thrilled to open a Raleigh location at Poyner Place," said proprietor Abdelali Zelliche. "We take great pride in the quality of both the food and service provided to our customers and look forward to getting to know the guests of this area."
