Time Warner Plans New Building in Crosland Commercial`s Whitehall Executive CenterCharlotte, NC, August 3, 2000 –
Crosland Commercial, a division of The Crosland Group, Inc., recently signed Time
Warner as the newest tenant in the Whitehall Executive Center off I-485 in
southwest Mecklenburg. Time Warner is planning a new 80,000-square-foot
building (with room for a 20,000 square-foot expansion) to house its customer
call center and technical operations.
Whitehall is a 700-acre mixed-use development
consisting of office, business park, retail and residential uses, which has
been developed by Crosland Commercial. Whitehall Executive center is a 38-acre
business park within the Whitehall master development. Whitehall is located at
I-485 and Highway 49.
Ken Chapman, development manager at Crosland Commercial, said, “We are
excited to have Time Warner moving in to our park and believe they will be a
great addition.” The Time Warner project fits with one of Crosland
Commercial’s strategies to develop and lease back build-to-suit facilities.
Time Warner’s new facility will occupy 13.5 acres in the Whitehall
Executive Center and will have easy access to the interstate and ample parking
space for service trucks and employees. The cable company’s walk-in customer
service, ad sales and telecom operations will continue in its facility on East
Morehead Street.
Don Jensen, vice president and general manager of Time Warner, said,
“Crosland is very good to work with and has a great piece of property. They
worked very hard to make sure we had an agreement that both of us could live
with for a long time.”
