Birkdale Village Inks Two New Retail Tenants

National Retailers Further Diversify Product Offerings at Award-Winning Mixed-Use Development

Charlotte, N.C., April 25, 2003 – Crosland and Pappas Properties, developers of Birkdale Village, recipient of the 2003 Pillars of the Industry Award, a 52-acre, mixed-use development in Huntersville, N.C., announce the signing of two new tenants, Total Wine and Lane Bryant.

Details follow:

  • Total Wine, a junior anchor, will open its third location in North Carolina in May offering wine, beer and related accessories from their new 9,500 sq. ft. retail space.
  • In July, Lane Bryant, a retailer specializing in plus sizes for women, will open its doors in a new 4,302 sq. ft. store, its first in north Charlotte.

“These retailers are positive additions to our strong core of retailers,” says Anne Carter Smith, leasing associate for Crosland. “We’re very pleased to have them and feel certain they will add further value to the distinctive shopping and lifestyle experience that is available at Birkdale Village.”
