First Stores Scheduled to Open at Providence MarketPlace

Mount Juliet Shopping Destination Comes to Life

Mount Juliet, Tenn., February 27, 2006 – JCPenney, Target and Best Buy have announced their March grand opening dates, marking the much-anticipated opening of the first stores at Providence MarketPlace, the lifestyle and entertainment retail component of the 1,000-acre Providence community just outside of Nashville.

“Area residents have been anxiously awaiting these openings,” said Charles Thrift, senior leasing associate for Crosland. “We are thrilled to see the center come to life, symbolizing years of planning which will forever change the landscape of Mount Juliet as a shopping destination.”

JCPenney will open on March 1, followed by Target on March 5 and Best Buy on March 24. Each is expected to offer significant grand opening promotions to customers. JCPenney, for example, will follow its ribbon-cutting ceremony with a week’s worth of giveaways, including a 2006 Saturn VUE automobile, a 40-inch high-definition LCD television, a laptop computer package, and twenty $250 JCPenney gift cards. Other activities include product demonstrations and special discounts for the entire family.

These stores will be followed by other retail and dining openings throughout the spring, culminating in a grand opening celebration for the entire shopping center in late summer.
