Pendleton Village Announces Lowe’s Home Improvement Store

Charlotte, N.C., August 28, 2006 – Crosland Inc., one of the Southeast’s leading, diversified real estate companies, has signed Lowe’s as its major anchor tenant for Pendleton Village, a 25-plus acre commercial development in the northwest quadrant of the Hwy. 160/I-77 interchange in Fort Mill, S.C.

The home improvement store will comprise more that 140,000 square feet of retail sales space, with an adjacent 29,000-square-foot garden center. Construction on the site has already begun, with completion of Phase I scheduled in the summer of 2007.

Retailers at Pendleton Village will benefit from our interstate location and proximity to the Baxter community. We look forward to bringing additional shopping and dining to the growing Fort Mill area, and the opportunity to again work with Lowe’s, given our long standing relationship”, said Peter B. Pappas, president of Crosland’s retail division.

This project is a joint venture between Crosland and Dr. Paul Steadman. Carolina First is the construction lender, Carmel Contractors of Charlotte is the general contractor and Freeland and Kaufman, Inc. is the civil engineer. Crosland is actively marketing outparcels and retail shops and is likely to attract restaurants, hospitality and other businesses that will serve the local market.
