Charlotte, N.C., March 28, 2007 – A variety of specialty shops are joining Blakeney, south Charlotte’s fast-growing upscale retail destination. The new store line-up includes Acorn, Frame Warehouse, Francesca’s Collections, Harmony Salon, HUE Studio and Trysports.

Acorn (2,452 square feet), a division of Minneapolis-based specialty retailer Christopher & Banks Corporation, currently operates 37 stores across the country. Working with many of America’s most innovative designers to create spirited fashion assortments, Acorn is your “local” boutique, blending fresh color palettes with unique, sometimes quirky styling elements into beautifully tailored fashions that coordinate across seasons, offering both ease and versatility. Special sweaters, unique jackets, and one-of-a-kind accessories are notables that will be found at Acorn.

Frame Warehouse (1,604 square feet) will specialize in custom picture framing options. Offering hundreds of ready-made frames in a variety of sizes and styles, Frame Warehouse offers competitive pricing for all of their services and products. Also available are services for conservation framing, shadow-box framing, cross-stitch and canvas stretching.

Francesca’s Collections (1,200 square feet) first Charlotte store will be a ladies’ boutique featuring trendy apparel, jewelry, accessories and gifts. Privately owned and operated, with over 60 stores across the United States, Francesca’s offers creative pieces and special items, allowing the stores to be continually refreshed with an array of unique gift products, home accessories, apparel, and an endless variety of jewelry.

Harmony Salon (2,973 square feet), an Aveda concept offering beauty, health and wellness services for men, women and children, is opening its second Charlotte location at Blakeney. All cut and color services include a 5-minute stress relief treatment, consultation, shampoo, conditioning treatment and style. Harmony Salon has been recognized by Salon Today as one of the fastest growing salons in North America for the second year in a row.

HUE Studio (2,119 square feet) is opening its first independent Charlotte location at Blakeney. Specializing in the sale of hosiery, lingerie and fashion accessories, HUE products are normally found within large department stores. This free-standing store will offer customized shopping opportunities for ladies with a variety of tastes.

Opening its first Charlotte location at Blakeney, Trysports (2,656 square feet) will offer products and services related to aerobic exercise such as running, cycling, swimming and biking. The store will offer a wide range of high quality sports products, such as apparel, shoes, custom footbeds, bikes, helmets, watches, bags, sunglasses and nutritional products, as well as provide useful information such as training programs, seminars and clinics.

“We are really excited about opening our second store in Blakeney,” said Jim Kirwin, owner of Charleston-based Trysports. “Our goal is to help area Charlotteans achieve their fitness goals and this location will help us to reach a large target of fitness-minded residents.”
