|  |  | New Retail and Restaurants Coming to The Shops at GreenridgeGreenville, S.C., June 20, 2007 – New retailers, restaurants and service providers continue to join Greenville’s hottest retail destination, The Shops at Greenridge. Mattress Firm, LongHorn Steakhouse, Trade Route and mealMAKERS are the most recent additions to the varied tenant mix.
“We are very pleased by the continued commitment of national and local operators for the project,” said Megan Deblitz, leasing associate for Crosland. “The Shops at Greenridge continues to build on the success of its retailers with an additional 9,540 square feet of new shop construction underway.” This brings the total developed retail and restaurant space to 629,420 square feet.
America’s preferred specialty mattress retailer and No. 1 retailer of top-of-the-line Sealy mattress products, Mattress Firm (5,275 square feet) offers a variety of sleep products including mattresses, furniture and accessories. Trained salespeople are available to help customers choose between brand, price and comfort to find the perfect fit.
LongHorn Steakhouse will open mid-October for lunch and dinner. Menu favorites include thick and juicy burgers, freshly made salads and signature items such as Wild West Shrimp and Authentic Texas Chili.
Trade Route, an import furniture and accessories store, will open in September. Jane Johns and Sherry Smith are the owners and have traveled extensively overseas to hand select these wonderful treasures. All of Trade Route’s items will be imported from Asian countries, including China, Thailand, Indonesia and India. Every product is hand crafted, whether it’s pottery for the home or unique stonework for the garden. Trade Route will carry handcrafted pottery, unique stonework for the garden, and exclusively designed jewelry.
Opening its first South Carolina location in late summer at The Shops at Greenridge, mealMAKERS (2,416 square feet) will offer customers the opportunity to prepare 12 entrees in less than two hours in the comfort of their kitchen. Before arriving, customers pre-select the meals they would like and mealMAKERS will have all ingredients sliced, diced, peeled, grated, prepped and ready for assembly. With guidance from the mealMAKERS staff, customers prepare the meals and take home to place in the freezer and serve as needed. Cost for the service normally runs between $3.25 - $4.25 per meal/per person and reservations are required.
