Crosland is excited to announce its Sustainable Placemaking Design Challenge.
Please fill out the Entry Form (click on image to right) and submit to djones@crosland.com by May 2nd. On May 2nd each team will receive access to a more detailed project packet (via FTP) to learn more about the site and challenge parameters. This challenge does not include any master planning in the scope of the challenge, but the integration of innovative environmental technologies or a sustainable idea (or ideas) into buildings, energy efficiency, site design, parks, stormwater treatment, etc. throughout a 33-acre mixed-use transit-oriented infill site in Charlotte, NC.
Any architectural, engineering, planning, environmental, construction or building product firm is eligible to apply, and we encourage teams to be formed with members from multiple firms. Teams are limited to 7 team members, and members can be switched out until May 9th. The winning team will have their idea implemented in the Crosland Greens TOD project, and receive $10,000 to go to a charitable organization of their choice (subject to approval) which supports overall community sustainability (e.g. conservation, environmental, wildlife, energy research, cultural, etc.).
Teams can designate a lead contact who can sign up for the entry, and receive access to an FTP site which will have the master plan, etc. For access to this FTP please contact djones@crosland.com. There is no entry fee.
