Crosland's Land Development division is devoted to our founder’s guiding principle of creating
value in real estate. Over the years, we’ve developed more than 100 residential
neighborhoods in the Carolinas
and we currently have over 20 active neighborhoods in our
portfolio in the Carolinas, Tennessee and Virginia.
This experience enables us to select strategic land positions and consistently create neighborhoods of
enduring value. It makes us expert land planners. And, it helps us understand the perspectives of
homeowners, homebuilders and landowners, so we can smooth out any bumps in the road.
Crosland neighborhoods thrive because they’re built with people in mind. They range in size from 52 homes to
more than 1,300, with prices from the low $100,000s to more than $1,000,000. These are inviting, livable places.
They have open spaces and preserved environmentally sensitive areas. They sell quickly and deliver solid
financial returns with controlled risk.
To keep our vision clear, we stay involved and informed. Our Land Development team serves in leadership roles
on the Real Estate Building Industry Coalition, the Charlotte Home Builders Association, the Charlotte Chapter
of Urban Land Institute’s Smart Growth Committee, the Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation Commission,
and the Charlotte Chamber’s Land Use Committee. We help develop affordable housing programs and participate
in land use and housing strategy initiatives in the cities where we do business.
It’s all part of our commitment at Crosland to do our best each day while keeping an eye on tomorrow.
