Café at the 19-acre neighborhood retail component of Austin Village, a multi-use development at the corner of Potter Road and Chestnut Lane in Indian Trail, N.C. Also joining these tenants is anchor Harris Teeter, which will open Feb. 3. Great Clips (1,192 sf), the largest haircutting brand in the United States with 2,700 salons across the country, plans to open at Austin Village in January. The salon provides various hair-care services including shampoo, cut, style, perm and conditioning treatments in a relaxed environment. Extensively trained, professional stylists provide services to men, women and children with no appointment necessary. “We chose Austin Village because of Crosland’s reputation as a developer, Harris Teeter as a strong anchor tenant and the growth of the Indian Trail area,” said Mike Bloodworth, Great Clips franchise owner. Bloodworth and his business partner, Jeff Southall, own seven other Great Clips salons. Great Clips offers a vast selection of products to fit any hairstyle. The salon carries three Great Clips-exclusive product lines: Solutions, which was voted No. 1 by Men’s Healthcare Magazine; Tea Tree, which combines all-natural Tea Tree oils and the rejuvenating fragrances of spearmint and peppermint; and Detour, fashion-forward, edgy products designed to take any style to the next level. The salon also provides other top brands such as Matrix, American Crew, Sexy Hair and Redken. The Bagel Co. Café (2,287 sf) will provide breakfast and lunch options to Austin Village customers. The eatery’s menu offers a variety of bagels with an array of flavored spreads, such as vegetable, scallion bacon, walnut raison, lox, olive pimento and jalapeno cheddar. In addition to bagels, customers can choose from an assortment of sandwiches and flavored coffee as well as appetizing pastries and other baked goods. “Having a strong grocer like Harris Teeter was an important factor in the decision to open our new business in Austin Village,” said owner Kim Porto. The Bagel Co. Café is expected to open in early April and will maintain hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.
